Healing happens in the body, not in the mind.
Breathwork - What is it?
I like to describe breathwork as the art of feeling.
By working with the breath - breath + work - we deepen our connection to the body and open up its energetic channels. Through awareness of our vital energy, we gain access to the key for spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
We live in a society that values intellect over emotion. With the rise of the digital age and social media, and spending more time surrounded by concrete jungles, we have become increasingly disconnected from both the natural world and our own essence. Perhaps not by coincidence, we are living in a time where mental health issues are more common than ever before.
Contrary to what we may believe, the healing process takes place in the body, not in the mind. Psychological therapy is important, as it helps restructure thought patterns. However, meditation techniques like breathwork allow us to restructure the body’s energy flow.
Self-love is the key to healing.
Healing is the transformation of scarcity energy into the abundant energy of self-love. Self-love unblocks our energetic flow and reconnects us to our true essence.
Self-love is the beginning and the end of everything we experience. Love is the language of our soul. Without love, we will constantly search for it in many external forms.
What we need to understand is that the answers we seek are already within us. Cultivating self-love is the starting point of this work and it will alchemize your blockages into balance, peace, and wisdom.
Breathwork shuts down the control of the mind and gives space for the body to process blockages to the flow of vital energy. These energetic blockages show up in various ways in our daily lives, such as:
-
stress, chronic fatigue, and/or insomnia;
-
lack of concentration/attention;
-
low self-esteem/self-love/self-confidence;
-
depression or eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, obesity);
-
toxic relationship patterns;
-
addictions and substance abuse;
-
illnesses such as chronic pain and cancer.
